Debt Limit Coming a Month Earlier Than Expected – Roll Call  …  “The Treasury Department said Thursday it would reach the debt limit a bit earlier than was expected by many on Capitol Hill. Treasury Secretary Jacob J. Lew told Congress in a new letter that thanks in part to lower-than-expected quarterly tax receipts, the extraordinary measures to forestall breaching the debt limit, combined with the new revenues, will run their course just a week after the resignation of Speaker John A. Boehner, R-Ohio, takes effect. That makes it all the more likely the debt limit will need to be addressed before his departure.”

“Based on this new information, we now estimate that Treasury is likely to exhaust its extraordinary measures on or about Thursday, November 5,” Lew wrote in a letter to Boehner. ‘At that point, we could be left to fund the government with only the cash we have on hand, which we currently forecast to be below $30 billion. This amount would be far short of net expenditures on certain days, which can be as high as $60 billion.’ Without sufficient cash, it would be impossible for the United States of America to meet all of its obligations for the first time in our history,’ Lew wrote.”

Valerie Jarrett Throws Hillary Under the Bus on Email Scandal – Breitbart  …  “Obama White House senior adviser Valerie Jarrett threw Hillary Clinton under the bus Wednesday at the Washington Ideas Forum, where she told interviewer Andrea Mitchell that the White House gave Clinton guidance forbidding her from using private email. ‘Yes, there were. Yeah, absolutely,’ Jarrett said when asked if the White House sent guidance to Cabinet secretaries about not using private email. ‘Obviously we want to make sure that we preserve all government records, and so there was guidance given that government business should be done on government emails and that if you did use a private email that it should be turned over.'”

Hillary Emailed With John Kerry and Another State Department Official At Center Of Scandal – Daily Caller  …  “The latest release of Hillary Clinton emails reveals for the first time that two high-ranking State Department officials — Sec. of State John Kerry and Under Secretary for Management at State Patrick Kennedy — corresponded with Clinton on her personal email account while she was in office. The finding raises questions over why it took nearly two years for the State Department to formally request Clinton’s work-related emails. Clinton left office in Feb. 2013 but did not turn over Asked about both officials’ knowledge of Clinton’s personal email account, a State Department spokesman commented only about Kerry.”

“‘[Kerry] was aware of her email address, but he did not know all the details regarding her email nor the extent to which she used it,’ State Department spokesman Alec Gerlach told The Daily Caller. Though the two Kennedy emails contain information about Libya, they were not released in the first batch of approximately 300 Clinton emails turned over to the House Select Committee on Benghazi. Those emails were published in May. The State Department revealed last week that it had found another 900 Libya- and Benghazi-related emails.”
