Cleaning Up After the Obama Team’s Iran Deal

Iran Boxed in Obama Iran deal from www.caglecartoons.com # 167821By Michael B. Mukasey

‘We couldn’t have negotiated a better deal.” That is one of the two pillars of the Obama administration’s argument in favor of its nuclear arrangement with Iran, the other being, “there’s no alternative but war.” Those two propositions appear to have won the day—at least with enough Democrats in Congress to prevent a vote disapproving of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action. The Iran deal remains deeply unpopular with the American public and with the Republican majority in Congress.

Over the past few months, the two propositions regarding the deal left opponents sputtering a catalog of its numerous defects. But it must be admitted that the first proposition—“we couldn’t have negotiated a better deal”—is plainly true.

Consider who the “we” are. President Obama, the deal’s principal proponent, has repeatedly refused to recognize the existence of Islamist radicalism and failed to enforce even his own red line against Bashar Assad’s use of poison gas in Syria.

The leader of the U.S. delegation, Secretary of State John Kerry, airily endorsed an inspections regimen agreed to between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency—an agreement whose wording he concedes the U.S. doesn’t have, although he thinks one member of the U.S. delegation may have seen it. Not providing the text of this side deal to Congress violates directly the statutory requirement that the administration supply “annexes, appendices, side agreements” and “any related agreements.”

Mr. Kerry also concedes that Iran will prevent access to what it calls defense sites. These include the Parchin facility, where Iran carries out weaponization experiments, and at which Iran will be permitted to take its own soil samples for presentation to the IAEA.

Finally, there is Wendy Sherman, the lead U.S. negotiator. What was her response to the suggestion that Congress should have had a chance to review the deal—as the president promised and U.S. law requires—before it was submitted to the U.N. Security Council? “It would have been a little difficult when all of the members of the P5+1 wanted to go to the United Nations to get an endorsement . . . for us to say, ‘Well excuse me, the world, you should wait for the United States Congress.’ ” Read More..

Kerry: Assad Has to Go, But Timing Can Be Negotiated

Secretary Kerry greets Iranian Foreign Minister ZarifBy Times of Israel

Secretary of State calls on Russia and Iran to convince Syrian president he must step down, says ending conflict is of utmost urgency.

Syrian President Bashar Assad must leave office although the timing of such a move can be negotiated, US Secretary of State John Kerry said in London recently, following talks with British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond.

Kerry urged Russia and Iran, two key allies, to persuade Assad to negotiate his departure, Reuters said. The top US diplomat also expressed the urgency in finding a political solution to the four-year civil war in Syria, which has left hundreds of thousands dead and millions more displaced.

“We need to get to the negotiation. That is what we’re looking for and we hope Russia and Iran, and any other countries with influence, will help to bring about that, because that’s what is preventing this crisis from ending,” Kerry said. “We’re prepared to negotiate. Is Assad prepared to negotiate, really negotiate? Is Russia prepared to bring him to the table?” Read More..

Europe Faces Cultural Disaster As Refugees Pour In: “A Direct Threat to Our Civilization”

Posted on September 24th, 2015

Welcome to Europe refugees from www.caglecartoons.com # 168869By Max Slavo

The tide of refugees from Syria and elsewhere has already been disastrous for the people who lived there and now seek another home. But the disaster is just beginning for Western Civilization. Today, the major front is Europe. But it is happening in America, too, and someday it might be too late. A demographic shift is happening so sharply in the UK, France, Germany and other European nations that it could hardly be called anything but a takeover.

The war hawks overplayed the ‘Muslim extremist’ card in the days after 9/11 when terrorism dominated every headline and nearly every political discussion. Hypocrisies devastated innocent lives, wasted money and ran America’s reputation and morale into the ground. But meanwhile, the cultural enemy was being brought home, through waves of immigration.

Zero Hedge warns that Europe is “heading for disaster” with regard to the immigration tidal wave:

Nigel Farage Warns Immigrant Flood “Threatens Our Civilization”

“We are heading towards disaster” exclaims UKIP’s Nigel Farage in this brief clip. Having warned for months about both the consequences of actions and the EU’s disastrous policies, the flood of immigrants, Farage warns “we face a direct threat to our civilization if we allow large numbers of people from that war-torn region into Europe.” Simply put, he fears within EU policy “there is no way to filter out extremists in favor of people fleeing in genuine fear of their lives,” and suggest following the Australian policy.

Though there is genuine sentiment for those displaced by a war torn region, the Western authorities have staged a clash with culture at the ideological and cultural level. Read More..

Memo to ‘60 Minutes’: Stop Treating Iran Like a Democracy

Posted on September 24th, 2015

Trust but vilify from www.caglecartoons.com # 166492By Aaron Goldstein

I saw the 60 Minutes interview with Iranian President Rouhani the other night and found much, but not all of the interview by Steve Kroft annoying. My annoyance began with the first paragraph of his report:

Few issues have inspired more vitriol this summer than the historic agreement between Iran and six world powers: the United States, Russia, China, Britain, France and Germany. The deal drastically curtails Iran’s nuclear program in exchange for the lifting of economic sanctions.

How exactly is Iran’s nuclear program curtailed considering that Iran can still enrich uranium, can inspect itself on top of getting billions in sanctions relief?

Kroft began one of his questions with this bit of editorializing. “The United States seems to have its hardliners and Iran seems to have its hardliners,” said Kroft before asking Rouhani if he saw similarities between the two. Iran’s hardliners imprison, torture, and execute their political opponents and seek the destruction of a neighboring state. How hardline can Republicans be when the Corker amendment assured the deal’s passage? There is simply no comparison. Kroft’s tone of moral equivalence is utterly insufferable. Here’s more proof:

President Rouhani’s boss, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has final say on the agreement and has sent it to the Iranian Parliament and the Supreme National Security Council on national security for a vigorous debate.

How the hell does Kroft know if there is going to be a “vigorous debate” in the Iranian Parliament and the Supreme National Security Council? These are nothing more than rubber stamp institutions. And yet Kroft gives these institutions more legitimacy than our own Senate. In the very first sentence of his report, he characterizes the debate over the Iran nuclear agreement in this country as one of “vitriol” before calling its critics hardliners. Kroft gives Iran undeserved deference. Read More..

Democrats Once Again Place Party Before Country and Duty

Henderson County DemocratsBy James Longstreet

Back in May of this year, the Senate voted 98 to 1 on a measure that allowed Congress to review a nuclear deal with Iran.  That would mean that roughly 44 Senate Democrats voted for the legislation at that point in time.

Flash forward to today.

The Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act of 2015 mandates that the 60-day congressional review period cannot begin until the nuclear agreement with Iran, and all related materials outlined in the Act, are transmitted to Congress. President Obama has failed to provide separate side agreements and federal guidance materials to Congress, so the review period cannot have begun without the majority leader’s consent.

The Democrats apparently have not stood by their May 2015 vote.  Materials have not been provided by Obama, and there have been no questions at press conferences of President Obama as to why this has not occurred, yet the agreement progresses.  Void of information, short on facts, and without the transparency and debate necessary in such a matter, the “deal” goes forward.

Lost are the checks and balances of our system.  Distant and forgotten is the historical and constitutional requirement that the Senate ratify treaties with other nations rather than be forced to muster the votes to override them, as in this case.

Sadly, the GOP lies down again.  The Republicans control both the House and the Senate, yet Obama gets what he wants in some magical fashion and circumvention of our system of government.     (my emphasis)    Read More..

Top Imam: Muslim Migrants Should Breed With Europeans to “Conquer Their Countries”

Refugees Europe welcomes from www.caglecartoons.com # 168169By Paul Joseph Watson

Speaking at the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, Ayed stated that European countries were not rolling out the red carpet for migrants because they were compassionate, but because Europe was in dire need of a new source of labor.

“Europe has become old and decrepit and needs human reinforcement….they are not motivated by compassion for the Levant, its people and its refugees,” said Ayed, adding, “Soon, we will trample them underfoot, Allah willing.”

“Throughout Europe, all the hearts are enthused with hatred toward Muslims. They wish that we were dead, but they have lost their fertility, so they look for fertility in our midst,” he added.

“We will give them fertility! We will breed children with them, because we shall conquer their countries!”

Ayed correctly outlines the fact that Europe is facing demographic disaster because its citizens have stopped having children. Read More..

Fiorina Emerges in GOP Debate, But Trump Still Dominates Conversation

Other GOP debate, Trump, from www.caglecartoons.com # 168877By David A, Fahrenthold

The second Republican debate, a three-hour affair that veered from sophomoric insults to policy to late-night silliness, ended after 11 p.m. Wednesday, with an outsider candidate — former tech executive Carly Fiorina — challenging front-runner Donald Trump in a way few rivals have.

Fiorina, who hadn’t even been on the main stage for the August debate, jabbed Trump for his insults of her appearance, and for his record as a businessman. She pointed out that Trump had lost money in his famous Atlantic City casinos. “You ran up mountains of debt, as well as losses, using other people’s money,” Fiorina said. “Why should we trust you to manage the finances of this nation.”

Still, Trump dominated the night’s conversation — with other candidates often asked to react to things he’d said. He finished off in typical Trump fashion, promising in essence to give Americans more of everything they want.

“We will make this country greater than ever before. We’ll have more jobs. We’ll have more of everything,” Trump said in his closing statement. Read More..

America Will Pay the Price for Obama’s Iran Deal ‘Victory’

Nobel intentions Obama Iran legacy from www.caglecartoons.com # 168364By Michael Goodwin

The word “disconnect” is the appropriate way to describe the chasm between America’s government and its citizens. We all have our favorite examples, but none can match the events of last week.

On the eve of the 14th anniversary of the worst attack ever against our nation, President Obama celebrated a nuclear pact with Iran, an Islamic theocracy whose leader calls the United States “Satan” and joins crowds in chanting “Death to America.”

A mere 21 percent of the American public supports the deal and a bipartisan majority of the Senate opposes it. Yet the filibuster rule blocked the Senate from defeating it, allowing Obama to hail the “historic step forward.”

His “victory” is a disconnect that will live in infamy.

The deal is essentially a nonaggression pact with Iran, a form of appeasement that renders unfair any further comparisons to Neville Chamberlain. At least Hitler promised peace at the 1938 Munich conference after the British leader engineered a German annexation of parts of Czechoslovakia.

Iran’s supreme leader doesn’t bother to pretend he wants peace. On the contrary, he vows that the nuclear agreement will have zero impact on the policies of the world’s largest state sponsor of terrorism. Read More..

50 US Spies “Revolt” Exposing How Their Reports Are Cooked to Manipulate the Public about ISIS

Posted on September 11th, 2015

Why Wasn’t I Warned Obama ISIS from www.caglecartoons.com # 154396EDITOR’S COMMENT: Frankly, while this “revolt” is rather shocking, we really shouldn’t be that surprised, based upon President Obama’s past and current efforts to spin every detail to his advantage. If that can’t be done, then the issue is conveniently overlooked with the aid of his adoring media, or he will comment that he is not familiar with the relevant issue. Just always remember that almost everything spoken by this administration is either an exaggeration, a falsehood, or a lie. And, now we see that our supposedly independent military has also been infected with this effort to mislead by “cherry-picking” our intelligence reports!

By Jay Syrmopoulos

More than 50 U.S. military intelligence analysts operating out of U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) have staged what has been called a ‘revolt’ by intelligence professionals. The revolt comes after announcing that their intelligence reports were being altered and manipulated to fit the public narrative that the U.S. is winning the battle against ISIS.

The analysts are assigned to U.S. CENTCOM, but are officially employed by the Defense Intelligence Agency, the intelligence branch of the Pentagon.

“The cancer was within the senior level of the intelligence command,” one defense official told The Daily Beast.

The disturbing revelations came after more than 50 intelligence analysts filed formal complaints, causing the Pentagon’s inspector general to open an investigation into the matter.

According to the report by The Daily Beast:

Two senior analysts at CENTCOM signed a written complaint sent to the Defense Department inspector general in July alleging that the reports, some of which were briefed to President Obama, portrayed the terror groups as weaker than the analysts believe they are. The reports were changed by CENTCOM higher-ups to adhere to the administration’s public line that the U.S. is winning the battle against ISIS and al Nusra, al Qaeda’s branch in Syria, the analysts claim. More Than 90 Percent of Middle Eastern Refugees to U.S. on Food Stamps

Posted on September 11th, 2015

WAIMH Red ArrowBy Caroline May

More than 90 percent of recent refugees from Middle Eastern nations are on food stamps and nearly 70 percent receive cash assistance, according to government data.

According to Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) data highlighted by the immigration subcommittee staff of — chairman of the Subcommittee on Immigration and the National Interest — in FY 2013, 91.4 percent of Middle Eastern refugees (accepted to the U.S. between 2008-2013) received food stamps, 73.1 percent were on Medicaid or Refugee Medical Assistance and 68.3 percent were on cash welfare.

The high welfare rates among Middle Eastern refugees comes as the Obama administration considers increasing the number of refugees — who are immediately eligible for public benefits — to the U.S., particularly Syrian refugees. Read More..
