John Bolton Underestimates Obama. We Are Not in Denial, We Are in Surrender

Obama Bombs over ISISBy Carol Brown

On Fox News Sunday, John Bolton said we’re losing the war against ISIS because the Obama administration is “blinded by their own ideology.” He went on to say:

I think they’re in denial. I don’t think that’s anything new. I think they’ve been in denial about the war on terror the last six plus years. They don’t want to admit we are in a war. They would rather treat it as a law enforcement matter. That is palpably wrong. I think their unwillingness to understand the nature of the ideological threats we face from the likes of ISIS paralyzes their ability to win. And we are losing. There is no doubt about it.

I have enormous respect for John Bolton, but on this I believe he is wrong.

Bolton is underestimating the very real possibility that is even more horrifying than a president in denial, which is this: Obama’s actions and inactions are all by design. And while Obama is indeed driven by his ideology, the ideology is one that is simpatico with Islam. As a result, of course, we are losing to ISIS, to Islamic terror, to jihad, to the growing Caliphate, to a Middle East spiraling out of control, and to Iran acquiring a nuclear weapon.

What we see unfolding is not because Obama is unwilling to understand the reality on the ground or because he’s paralyzed as to what to do. Quite the opposite. I would suggest that Obama understands the situation quite well. And he’s all on board. There’s no paralysis, much as we might like to think so, giving ourselves a shred of hope that the country didn’t really elect a person to be President of the United States who aligns himself with evil forces that are plotting and acting against us. The Middle East Runs Out of Water

Posted on June 2nd, 2015

DID YOU KNOW? red Rubber Stamp over a white background. BasicEDITOR’S COMMENT: In addition to everything else, now it appears that the Middle East is facing the real possibility of running out of water. You have to wonder if the Obama administration has factored this growing crisis into its calculations for dealing with Iran, or, given this administration’s past history of incompetency, one wonders, if they are even aware of this growing crisis and the eventual threat to human lives. Somehow, one would also hope that calmer heads would prevail, and that a regional solution to this issue could be achieved with Israel’s recent desalinization plants that are helping to produce an abundance of water.

By Daniel Pipes

A ranking Iranian political figure, Issa Kalantari, recently warned that past mistakes leave Iran with water supplies so insufficient that up to 70 percent, or 55 million out of 78 million Iranians, would be forced to abandon their native country for parts unknown. Read More..

Why Does the Left Kowtow to Islam?

Posted on May 29th, 2015

No Islam fearBy Robert Tracinski

You might suspect that the question answers itself. They kowtow to Islam precisely because it is a real threat, a macroaggression that trumps all of the microaggressions. So you could say that it is simple cowardice. They protest against people they know are extremely unlikely to harm them, and they shut up about the fanatics who might actually follow through on their threats.

But I don’t think that’s the fundamental cause. After all, most lefties are not being called upon to take any personal risk, because somebody else has already stuck his neck out. Drawing or publishing a cartoon of Mohammed might get you put on an al-Qaeda hit list. Simply saying that you support the cartoonist’s defiance of that threat won’t get you on anybody’s list.

In fact, a running theme of the left’s arguments, repeated with a great deal of apparent sincerity, is the notion that it is irrational to fear Islam, that describing the religion as violent and dangerous is “Islamophobia.” They seem to have largely talked themselves into believing that they have nothing personally to fear from Islam. Jihadists may throw gays off of buildings in Syria, but it can’t happen here. Read More..

Missing Hillary’s Libya Forest for the Benghazi Trees

Benghazi Perpetrator Caught HillaryBy Thomas Lifson

Deplorable as were the deaths in Benghazi, a much larger disaster can be laid at Hillary’s feet, and the just-released emails prove the point. By far the most interesting take on the nearly 300 Hilary emails released in a classic pre-holiday weekend document dump comes from John Hinderaker of Powerline.  He points out that while critics of Clinton have understandably focused on the horrifying deaths of four Americans in Benghazi, the really big picture that comes out from the emails is that Hillary saw herself as the architect of our policy toward Libya, a policy that has been an unmitigated disaster.

Why were Ambassador Stevens and three other Americans murdered? Because by September 2012, Libya was a terrorist playground. Since then, things have only gotten worse. Libya has become a failed state, a 21st century source of boat people, as refugees from ubiquitous violence stream across the Mediterranean. Libya is now a haven for ISIS and other terrorist groups; it was on the Libyan coast that ISIS beheaded 30 Christians. Some of the “refugees” now making their way into Europe are, in fact, ISIS agents. In short, Libya is a disaster. Read More..

America’s Military Power in a Steep Decline

Eliminating the terrorists of today with force will not guarantee protection from the terrorists of tomorrow. We have to transform the environments that give birth to these movements…It may be training young people so they can get jobs…it may be working to eliminate corruption and promote the rule of law…”

The Obama administration proposal that a jobs program be created for the militants in the Middle East was met with appropriate derision because what the jihadists need is killing. That’s what they are doing to Christians, Jews and others in the Middle East and elsewhere.

The quote above is by John Kerry, the Secretary of State, and to be fair, his February 18 Wall Street Journal commentary began by saying “The rise of violent extremism represents the pre-eminent challenge of the young 21st Century. Military force is a rational and often necessary response to the wanton slaughters of children, mass kidnappings of schoolgirls, and beheading of innocents. But military force along won’t achieve victory.”

Kerry is wrong. History as recent as the mid-20th century is proof enough that the military defeat of Nazi Germany and the Empire of Japan was the only thing that ended the threat they represented. He was also wrong when he told a congressional committee that the world is a safer place these days when it is clear to anyone it is not. Read More..

Media Ignoring ISIS in Mexico

ISIS SoldiersBy Brian C. Joondeph

ISIS is operating training bases just across the US southern border according to a report last week in Judicial Watch. Specifically the base is about 8 miles from the Texas border near Ciujad Juaraz in the Mexican state of Chihuahua. Mexican officials found documents in Arabic, schematic plans for the US Army’s Fort Bliss, and Muslim prayer rugs.

One would think this would be important news. A Google News search however showed this story was being ignored by the mainstream media. The coverage rather was by Fox News, Western Journalism, World Net Daily, Newsmax, and the Washington Times, representing more of the alternative, than the traditional media.

Instead the mainstream media is busy chasing Hillary Clinton’s campaign van, acting like a gaggle of preteen girls chasing Justin Beiber. Is this what passes for journalism these days? Read More..

OPEC Going Broke, Dumping Dollars. Is That Good Or Bad?

OPEC over a barrel from # 59119By John Rubino

When oil prices fell out of bed last winter there was much hand-wringing over the fate of the former beneficiaries of high-priced crude. Trillions of dollars of junk bonds issued by frackers, for instance, might default, oil field services companies could fail, and layoffs in the oil patch might swamp the nascent employment recovery.

Some of this has happened, though not on the apocalyptic scale the worst-case scenarios suggested. More might be coming, but right now it’s not headline news in North America.

For OPEC, however, the sudden 50% diminution in export revenue is a clear and present danger, and the response is noteworthy: Read More..

A President, Not a Potentate

Obama as EmperorBy Alan Caruba

In 2010, before the midterm elections, President Obama said, “We’re gonna punish our enemies and we’re gonna reward our friends.”

Instead, it was the Democratic Party that got punished as voters rejected its candidates, rendering it some of its biggest losses since the Great Depression. The Republican Party gained 63 seats in the House of Representatives, recapturing the majority, the largest seat change since 1948.

In November 2014, the voters gave complete control of Congress to Republicans for the first time in eight years as they retained every one of the GOP Senate seats up for reelection and added six more to ensure a Republican majority.

What was apparent before the 2010 election and since has been a President who regards himself and his powers as that of a potentate, a monarch scornful of the Congress in the same way English kings scorned their parliament until forced to relinquish total power and grant individual freedom to their subjects. State Dept. May Give Iran $50 Billion “Signing Bonus” Just for Showing Up

Posted on April 23rd, 2015

RedArrowWAIMHlargerEDITOR’S COMMENT: Even with all the caving in by President Obama on this so-called agreement, my first response to this story was that it had to be a joke. Even this administration couldn’t be that clueless or stupid! Apparently, they are even worse than we imagined, which is almost impossible. I’ve reflected on this “signing bonus” payment to try and arrive at some semblance of competency here, and the only thing that I could think of was that possibly President Obama finally showed his negotiating skills, when Iran may have demanded $55 billion as a “signing bonus”, but Obama wouldn’t accept paying more than $50 billion, as his ‘red line’. Naturally, he considers this a major victory! One could easily argue that we are allowing Iran to have $50 billion to go ahead and make their nuclear weapons and expand their terrorism efforts. What a disaster! Read More..

Whatever the Ayatollah Wants! President Obama Keeps Giving and Giving and Giving.

Accord with IranBy The Wall Street Journal

Give Ayatollah Ali Khamenei credit for knowing his opposition. Two weeks ago the Supreme Leader declared that Western sanctions had to be lifted immediately as a condition of a nuclear deal. And sure enough, on Friday President Obama said Iran would get significant sanctions relief immediately upon signing a deal.

The Ayatollah knows that Mr. Obama wants an agreement with Iran so much that there’s almost no concession the President won’t make. So why not keep asking for more? Read More..
